Title: MEASUREMENT OF THE TOTAL ELECTRICAL CURRENT FURNISHED BY A NUCLEAR EXPLOSION (in French)

Abstract

An electrical blanket, a lattice of conducting wires extended under a nuclear explosion, captures practically all the electrical current drawn to the earth by this explosion. A crest of such a current was measured which reached 150,000 amps during the fourth French nuclear explosion in the Sahara. The current extended a slight distance above the soil. (tr-auth)
