Roguin, A

A fission-products detector developed by the French for the detection of burst slugs in a gas-cooled reactor is described along with the principles and operation of the rotating electrode detector. The detector works on the principle of electrostatic precipitation and is used where the coolant gas is carbon dioxide. A diagram is given of the circuit system used in connecting the detector to the reactor. (N.W.R.)
