Title: TABLES OF DRIFT VELOCITIES OF SLOW ELECTRONS IN HELIUM, NEON, ARGON, KRYPTON, XENON, HYDROGEN, DEUTERIUM, NITROGEN, CARBON MONOXIDE, CARBON DIOXIDE, WATER VAPOR, NITROUS OXIDE, AND AMMONIA. TTechnical Report No. 13

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4798900

Drift velocities of electrons in various gases are tabulated. The drift velocities were measured in He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe, H, D, N, CO, CO/sub 2/, water vapor, N/sub 2/O, and NH/sub 3/ for E/p values from 10/sup -4/ to 30 volts/cm-mm Hg at several gas temperatures between 77 and 443 deg K. In all gases except Ne, measurements were extended to low enough E/p such that the electrons were in thermal equilibrium with the gas. (auth)
