THE MULTI-DECADE SIMULATION OF THE PLUTONIUM RECYCLE PROGRAM CRITICAL FACILITY

The simulation of the Plutonium Recycle Program (PRP) Crltical Facility (Experinmental Reactor) is described in some detail. The simulation must be capable of handling large nuclear power excursions for the purpose of hazards analysis. Special emphasis is placed on the use of point storage (or analog memory) techniques in the multi-decade operation of the reactor simulator. A method is also described of producing the point storage function in a generalpurpose analog computer. (auth)
