FIELD LEAK TESTING OF HAPO REACTOR CONFINEMENT FILTER INSTALLATIONS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4771646
A portable air-operated dioctylphthalate aerosol generator and particle detector was used in leak testing the high efficiency air filter banks after initial installation in the confinement facilities of the HAPO reactors. A total of 1024 filters were checked and of these 24 indicated leaks and were replaced. Approximately 20% of the filters required gasket reseating and/or tightening. The testing method, which was adapted from the Naval Research Laboratory, proved to be a practical and reliable method for assuring the integrity of the filter banks after installation. (auth)
