A model is constructed for low-energy gamma + p yields K/sup +/ + A/ sup 0/ reactions in accordance with dispersion theory by neglecting faraway singularities. Thus, besides the Born terms due to one-nucleon intermediate state and K/sup +/ exchange, we also employ the K* exchange and a resonance in the final state similar to that found in the reaction pi /sup -/ + p yields K/ sup 0/ + LAMBDA /su p 0/. A fairly good fit with recentiy measured data is obtained. STASee R. L. Anderson et al., Phys. Rev. Letters, 9: 131 (1962)!. The choice of parameters is briefly discussed. (auth)
