Title: BINDING ENERGY OF $lambda$$sup 0$ HYPERONS IN HEAVY HYPERNUCLEI (60 < A < 100)

The short-range hyperfragments from 800 Mev/c K/sup -/ interactions have been shown to possess mass values in the range A = 60 to 100, and an upper limit of 35 Mev has been placed on the value of their B/sub LAMBDA /. Details are tabulated for five pi -mesic decays attributed to hyperfragments of the same order of mass resulting from 0.8 and 1.5 Bev/c k/sup -/ interactions in emulsion. From these events, a more precise estimate of the upper limit of B/sub LAMBDA / is set at 25 Mev. (H.D.R.)
