OSTI ID:4728981
In order to establish the mechanism of radiation damage in pure iron and other bcc metals, a study of the mechanical properties and dislocation array in irradiated and unirradiated materials was made. The properties were studied over a rarge from room temperature to the temperature of liquid helium. Variables such as grain size, cold work, alloy additions, irradiation exposure, irradiation temperature, and post irradiation annealing were studied and results are presented. (H.G.G.)
