Title: STUDIES ON THE BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF SMALL DOSES OF IONIZING RADIATION. II. CHANGES IN THE OVARIES OF MICE IN THE COURSE OF CONTINUED IRRADIATION WITH Co$sup 60$ GAMMA RAYS IN SMALL DOSES (in Polish)

Abstract

Continued irradiation of female mice with Co/sup 60/ gamma rays in daily doses of 0.17 r gave rise to histologically ascertainable changes in the ovaries after as little as two months of exposure. The changes were of the kind typical of aging and developed in the experiments some 5 to 6 months earlier than in unirradiated animals. (auth)
