Fourier-transform photoacoustic kinetic spectroscopy of solid surfaces. Annual progress report, December 11, 1980-December 29, 1981
Papers describing a dispersive-visible photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) study of a zirconium phosphate system containing a ruthenium complex and a FT-IR/PAS study of various forms of carbon black have been published. An FT-IR/PAS study of pyridine adsorbed on solids has been submitted for publication. A numerical analysis of pulsed PAS experiments on solid samples has been accepted for publication. Work continues on the use of synchrotron radiation, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and FT-IR/PAS in the analysis of surfaces having catalytic properties. -
Interface between a Control Data Corporation 6600 digital computer and a Digital Equipment Corporation PDP 11/20 digital computer (1 Dec 1971) (Engineering Materials)

Drawings which constitute a technical description of an interface between a Control Data Corporation 6600 digital computer and a Digital Equipment Corporation PDP 11/20 digital computer are presented. The interface consists of two main parts. The part connected directly to the 6600 is called the synchronizer. The part which connects directly to the PDP 11 is called the coupler. Drawings 72Y-168018 C sheets 18 through 24 describe the synchronizer. This equipment was designed and constructed at LASL for use in the Hydra computer network. (auth) -
GRPANL (GRouP ANaLysis): A suite of computer programs for analyzing complex Ge and alpha-particle detector spectra. [For PDP-11 and VAX computers]
GRPANL (GRouP ANaLysis) is a suite of programs that analyzes and interprets regions of germanium and alpha-particle detector pulse-height spectra. GRPANL is the main peak-fitting program; several other programs are used in conjunction with GRPANL. The program is particularly useful for accurately deconvoluting and interpreting complex clusters of peaks in a spectrum. Other codes do not usually address this level of complexity. GRPANL determines the gamma-ray (x-ray or alpha-ray) energies and intensities of the peaks; it can also identify and measure isotopes in a sample. Versions of the program are installed on Digital Equipment Corporation's (DEC) PDP-11 and VAX computers.more »
