A steam separating drum that receives the water-steam mixture from the reactor is provided outside the reactor. The drum is connected to the bottom of the reactor for refeeding the separated water. The feed water coming from the condenser is introduced via two lines to the drum, one for injecting into the steam space of the drum, the other for feeding into the water space. The temperature of the water fed to the reactor is controlled by varying the ratio between these two feeding flows. (IIB)
