This paper discusses how the reactions of ground state Ar{sup +}({sup 2}P{sub 3/2}) with N{sub 2}, O{sub 2}, CH{sub 4}, C{sub 2}H{sub 6} and Kr{sup +}({sup 2}P{sub 3/2}) with CO{sub 2} yield low temperature rate coefficients that are equal to or greater than the rate coefficients at 300 K. These reaction mechanisms are also discussed. 33 refs., 2 figs., 3 tabs.
