Chemical precipitation, coprecipitation, and adsorption were used to prepare samples of sea water for analysis for trace amounts of alpha and BETA activity. The method was also used in the analysis of rain and surface waters for radioactivity due to fallout fission products, uranium, and radioisotopes. (C.H.)
