Title: Carbon dioxide chemistry of the trinuclear complex [Ni{sub 3}({mu}{sub 3}-CNMe)({mu}{sub 3}-I)(dppm){sub 3}][PF{sub 6}]. Electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide

Abstract

Reduction of CO{sub 2} in the presence of the electrocatalyst complex, [Ni{sub 3}({mu}{sub 3}-CNMe{mu}{sub 3}-I)(dppm){sub 3}][PF{sub 6}] (1) was studied. (1) is an electrocatalyst active in the reduction of CO{sub 2}. In the presence of CO{sub 2}, 1 reduces CO{sub 2}. The products of this reduction reflect disproportionation to CO and carbonate ion. 34 refs., 1 fig.
