Molecular and polymeric compounds resulting from Lewis acid interactions with [CpMo({mu}-S)N-t-Bu]{sub 2}
- Univ. of Colorado, Boulder, CO (United States)
There has been an interest in the use of molecular coordination compounds either as intact building blocks or as thermally labile precursors for polymeric materials. The ability to tune the electronic properties of the molecular compounds provides the potential for controlling properties of the resulting polymers. The authors report here the preparation of a one-dimensional polymeric material based on Lewis acid interactions with a molybdenum sulfide dimer. The structure was characterized by X-ray diffraction, NMR, and UV-vis spectroscopy, and voltammetry.
