Title: Waste management facilities cost information estimating data

Abstract

This report contains cost estimating support data for the Waste Management Facility Cost Information (WMFCI) task. The WMFCI task was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to develop planning level life-cycle cost (PLCC) estimates for treatment, storage, and disposal facilities. The report contains PLCC estimates versus capacity for 26 different facility cost modules. Estimates in the report apply to five distinctive waste streams: low-level waste, low-level mixed waste, alpha contaminated low-level waste, alpha contaminated low-level mixed waste, and transuranic waste. The report addresses five different treatment types: incineration, metal/melting and recovery, shredder/compaction, solidification, and vitrification.
