Development of real-time and remote fuel process gas analysis system using laser Raman spectroscopy

A new laser Raman analytical system using optical fibers and a multi-channel detection system with a liquid nitrogen cooled CCD detector made it possible to carry out remote analysis of hydrogen isotope gases in a process piping inside a glove box. With the system the current detection limit for T{sub 2} gas was 1.6 kPa, 0.6 kPa and 0.3 kPa for analytical periods of 1, 10 and 100 seconds. 10 refs., 7 figs.
