Magnetic vortices in superconductors were directly and dynamically observed by using a {open_quotes}coherent{close_quotes} field-emission electron beam. Their dynamics were observed by Lorentz microscopy. The interaction of vortices with both line- and point-defects was investigated by direct observation.
