Title: Detection of hot gas in the Coma Cluster of galaxies

Abstract

Translated from Astron. Zh.; 49: No. 6, 1322-1323(1972). The scattering of cold primordial photons by hot gas in clusters of galaxies can produce a dark spot'' in the 3 deg K background radiation. This effect has been detected in the direction of the Coma cluster. (auth)
