Theoretical results relative to the laminar motion of an electrically conducting and incompressible fluid set in motion in a restricted medium by the slow and uniform rotation of a disk in the presence of an axial magnetic field are given for both the case of a finite and a nonexistent induced electric current. According to the electrical conditions, the experimental studies confirm the existence of a slowing-down or an acceleration of the fluid. (FR)
