Samples of various packaging and electrical insulating materials were exposed to larvae of Anthrenus flavipes and Dermestes maculatus under conditions of controlled light, temperature, and relative humidity. Of the materials tested, the only population survival was on vulcanized curled hair by Anthrenus flavipes. Starvation and cannibalistic characteristics of the two species were analyzed. (auth)
