Title: Dynamic and stability behavior of BWRs with respect to perturbations in reactivity, primary steam flow, water inlet velocity or subcooling. P. 3. ADYSMO calculations compared against experimental results from frequency response measurements at boiling water loops and reactors

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4397795

A one-channel, one-dimensional, linear model is presented which describes (within the frequency domain) in an analytical way the dynamic and stability behavior of a boiling water loop or reactor (both under forced or natural circulation, pressurecontrolled or pressure- varying conditions) with respect to perturbations in reactivity (or heating power), primary steam flow for system pressure), water inlet velocity, or subcooling. The validity and efficiency of the model are demonstrated by comparing transfer functions being measured at different boiling water loops and reactors under different experimental condition types with the ADYSMO calculations.
