The new compounds UOF/sub 4/ and U/sup 18/OF/sub 4/ have been prepared by the hydrolysis of UF/sub 6/ with a solution of 0.1 to 0.2% H/sub 2/O and H/sub 2//su p 18/O in liquid HF. Properties and vibrational spectra are reported and discussed. (GE)
