Dynamic characteristics of PWR type nuclear power plant connected to power system

A method of the digital analysis for studying power systems including PWR type nuclear power plants is presented. The method is available for studying on the overall optimal control and operation of power systems as well as those of nuclear plants. Typical resvlts analyzed by the method are presented, showing that PWR type nuclear plants are capable to be joined in the load-frequency control of a power system like usual thermal plants. It is suggested that further study is required to realize the actual operation of a nuclear power plant as a power-system-slaved plant. (auth)
