Title: Variable stars among Ca II emission binaries

Journal Article · · Astron. Astrophys., v. 26, no. 1, pp. 137-140
OSTI ID:4362462

Two new strong Ca II emission binaries (HD 213389 and HR 8703) are reported and both are shown to be light variables. HR 7275 is suspected of variability. Data on seven strong Ca II emission binaries, all of which show evidence of light variation, are discussed. Four of these also have peculiar spectra in that their special types determined from hydrogen line criteria are earlier than those determined from metallic line ratios. (auth)
