Electricity industry has worries: project management helps (in German)
The German electricity industry is at a turning poirt. It must carry on investing in step with the growth of electricity demand. Yet the cost increase for plants and materials can no longer be balanced by technological efforts. This development is a heavy burden on the profitability of the electricity supply undertakings (EVU), and it appears that it can only be balanced by repeated price increases for the current. This article is intended to prove that, if the ambitious aims of the next decade are to be mastered, the concept of cortrol by project management has to be applied more effectively for securing a balanced ftnancial development, for carrying out tremendous capital investments, and especially for improving the cooperation between the electricity supply undertakings, the authorities, and the manufacturing industry.
