Title: OPERATION OF A CENTER-FED CONTINUOUS-FLOW THERMOGRAVITATIONAL COLUMN WITH UNEQUAL FLOW RATES IN THE TWO COLUMN SECTIONS. COMPARISON OF THEORY AND EXPERIMENT

Abstract

Equations of Jones and Furry are shown to agree well with experimental data over a range of ratios of rectifying section flow to stripping section flow from 0.3 to 5. On the assumption of an effective feed location which yields maximum separation a tentative modification of the JonesFurry equation is developed which appears preferable at smaller values of the flow rate.
