Materials of the Soviet--American symposium on new developments in steels and alloys with Mo
Translated from Metalloved. Term. Obrab. Metal.; 15: No. 7, 2(Jul 1973). The Soviet--American symposium on new developments in steels and alloys with molybdenum was held January 17-19, 1973, at the I. P. Bardin Central Scientific-Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy. The symposium was attended by representatives from the Climax Molybdenum Company (USA) and representatives from scientific-research institutes and factories (USSR). Ten American reports and seven Soviet reports were given concerning the effect of molybdenum on the properties of steels and alloys and the use of various steels and alloys with molybdenum. Molybdenum is one of the basic alloying elements in steels and alloys and its effects on the properties are being investigated in both the United States and the USSR. In the interest of scientific-technical cooperation between the USSR and the United States the reports of the American scientists are published. (auth)
