A windowless fiow-through counter with 7 counter wire loops and a usable counter surface of 300 cm/sup 2/ is described. In large aluminum pans which are inserted in the base of the counter housing, water can be evaporated with a surface evaporator. The improvement obtained in contrast with earlier sorts of evaporators is described by comparative measurements. (tr-auth)
