Crystallization temperature, density, electric conductivity, marginal angles of wettability, and aluminum losses of Na/sub 3/AlF/sub 6/--Al/sub 2/O/sub 3/ --MgF/sub 2/ and Na/sub 3/AlF/s ub 6/--AlF/sub 3/ -MgF/sub 2/ melts were studied. The presenee of MgF/sub 2/ in the melts increases their density and wettability but reduces the crystallization temperature, electric conductivity, and the aluminum losses. (tr-auth)
