Participation of LLL in JSEXP: performance of non-ideal HE
A detonation model is developed and tested for alternative (composite) explosive materials. (DLC) -
Real surface (non-ideal) effects on nuclear explosion airblast from priscilla-type events, part 1: Comparison and evaluation of ideal and non-ideal airblast from priscilla computations; and part 2: Sharc hydrocode calculations of the priscilla event (phase 1). Final report, 12 March 1992-30 May 1995
An extensive analysis of the 24 June 1957 PRISCILLA 36.6 KT nuclear event at a 700 ft height of burst over a desert surface at the Nevada Test Site is presented, along with early time results from three hydrocode computations simulating that event. The computations included simulations of ideal, actual desert, and grassland surface. The desert computation produced reasonable agreement with most of the data from PRISCILiA. However, the precursor was not as advanced as that observed. The grassland computation produced a strong and persistent precursor. There was a mismatch between arrival times used for developing the thermal layers andmore » -
Integrated system for production of neutronics and photonics calculational constants. Volume 15, Part C. The LLL Evaluated Nuclear Data Library (ENDL): translation of ENDL neutron-induced interaction data into the ENDF/B format
The LLL evaluated nuclear data library (ENDL) has been translated into the evaluated neutron data file/version B (ENDF/B) format. This translation is for the convenience of those who wish to use ENDL data but who are more familiar with ENDF/B formats and procedures. Only that portion of ENDL dealing with neutron-induced interactions (including photon production from neutron-induced reactions) has been translated. -
LLL Evaluated Nuclear Data Library (ENDL): graphs of cross sections from the library. An integrated system for production of neutronics and photonics calculational constants. Volume 15, Part B. [. nu. -bar,. mu. -bar, xi, gamma, 198 targets]
This report presents graphs of neutron cross sections and related parameters as of April 1, 1976, for the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory Evaluated Neutron Data Library (ENDL). 198 figures, 5 tables.
