Cooperative binding of Na{sup +} and Cl{sup {minus}} in Na(M[OC{sub 6}H{sub 2}(CH{sub 2}NMe{sub 2}){sub 2}-2,6-Me-4]{sub 3}Cl): Synthesis (M = Lu, Y) and X-ray structure (M = Lu) of new heterometallic complexes of lutetium and yttrium containing bis(o-amino) phenolate ligands

Terdentante bis(o-amino)-substituted phenolate ligands complexes of Lu and Y have been prepared and characterized. These complexes contain a cooperatively bound Na{sup +}Cl{sup -}. Structural studies by NMR indicate fluxionality in these compounds. Crystal structures were performed by X-ray crystallography for these compounds.
