Implementation and experimental verification in a tokamak of spectrally selective Ga-As-Sb photodetectors for a Thomson-scattering polychromator

The prospects for using spectrally selective photodiodes made from a solid Ga-As-Sb solution in diagnostics of high-temperature plasmas by means of laser Thomson scattering at wavelength 1.055 {mu}m are evaluated. The properties of the photodetector used, namely the spectral sensitivity, the threshold, and contrast, along with data on recording scattered radiation in the plasma of the FT-1 tokamak in the ohmic heating regime, are presented. 1 ref., 3 figs.
