It is shown that more than 50% of the number of delta -rays in a track have an original direction in the forward hemisphere. The percentage found is 61%, rather independent of the nature of the particle and its velocity The length of a track segwnent needed to establish the direction of motion with 99% corfidence is about 3 cm.
