Information on the LMFBR reactor safety program is presented concerning radionuclide release and transport as a result of reactor events including the hypothetical core-disruptive accident. A capacitor discharge vaporization technique is being developed for generating electrical energy directly in LMFBR fuel that will produce HCDA-like fuel disassemblies. The scoping tests for this technique are continuing with two additional sets of experiments consisting of five tests each. The results and analyses of these tests are reported. (auth)
