Title: PARAMAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY OF Eu$sub 2$O$sub 3$ FROM 300 TO 1300K

Abstract

The magnetic susceptibility of Eu/sub 2/O/sub 3/ was studied as a function of temperature between 300 and 1300 deg K. The results can be satisfactorily explained by the Van Vleck theory of paramagnetism with Judd's energy levels of free Eu/sup 3+/ ions. (auth)
