Title: DUPONT PROTOTYPE SAFETY AND CONTROL ROD DRIVE TESTING

Abstract

Prototype testing of the safety and control rod drives at a pressure of 1500 psi and at room temperature and 550 deg F indicated that both units functioned properly. No major problems were encountered during testing. Seal leakage data indicated that the seal units were performing satisfactorily. Scram times during both cold and hot testing were excellent. Testing procedures used are given. (auth)
