Conditionally sampled turbulent Prandtl number in the outer region of a turbulent boundary layer
- Boston Univ., MA (United States)
A composite model, with a diffusive and convective component, was used to analyze the turbulent zone-averaged eddy diffusivity and turbulent Prandtl number in a turbulent boundary layer. The hypothesis that the convective component was uniform across the outer region of the boundary layer was consistent with measured data. 16 refs., 3 figs.
