The authors present a study of the magnetic properties of the new cerium ternary intermetallic compound CeRuSi{sub 2} which demonstrates heavy-fermion-like behavior and reveals magnetic transition at {Tc} = 11K. The temperature (5<250)K and magnetic field (H<50kOe) dependences of magnetization are reported. The data obtained at temperatures below {Tc} show that a Kondo effect and a ferromagnetism might coexist in this compound.
