Title: Effect of transverse field annealing and rate of cooling on magnetic properties of the amorphous Co{sub 71.5}Fe{sub 2.5}Mn{sub 2}Mo{sub 1}Si{sub 9}B{sub 14} alloy

Abstract

Influence of transverse field annealing (H{sub T}) and cooling rate (v{sub c}) on magnetic remanence (B{sub r}), coercivity (H{sub c}) and domain structure of the amorphous near-zero magnetostrictive Co{sub 71.5}Fe{sub 2.5}Mn{sub 2}Mo{sub 1}Si{sub 9}B{sub 14} alloy was investigated. Two step magnetic annealing was performed on 20x15x10 mm toroidal cores and on 30x10 mm pieces of ribbons. Magnetic properties dependence upon a time of preannealing was determined too. Very strong effect of H{sub T} and v{sub c} on the magnetic properties and domain structure was discussed on the base of the Kronmueller model.
