Title: NIKE3D96. Static & Dynamic Response of 3D Solids

Abstract

NIKE3D is a large deformations 3D finite element code used to obtain the resulting displacements and stresses from multi-body static and dynamic structural thermo-mechanics problems with sliding interfaces. Many nonlinear and temperature dependent constitutive models are available.

  • NIKE3D is a vectorized, fully implicit, three dimensional, finite element program for analyzing the finite strain, static and dynamic response of inelastic solids, shells, and beams. Capabilities currently available include sliding interfaces, body force loads due to base acceleration, body force loads due to spinning (geometry dependent), concentrated nodal loads, pressure boundary conditions (geometry dependent), displacement boundary conditions, thermal stresses, plotfile generation, and problem restart. Elastic, orthotropic elastic, elastic-plastic, thermo-elastic-plastic, soil and crushable foam, linear viscoelastic, thermo-orthotropic elastic, and thermo-elastic-creep material models are implemented.
