  1. ANZIA Architect, Christchurch (New Zealand)

Structural changes to the energy market (initially for electricity) in New Zealand, are presenting a major opportunity to establish renewable forms of energy generation as sustainable options in a true sense. That this requires certain fundamental shifts in conventional thinking and application is a given, but in the context that it must be based on sound business practice, it is entirely feasible. A focus on the needs of the end user, the consumer, results in the understanding that their situation can be turned around. An orientation is possible which serves their needs best and may well provide a basis for energy for a sustainable prosperity.
