Title: Elaboration and characterization of adhering polypyrrole coatings on glass fibers

Abstract

The use of pyrrole substituted trialkoxysilanes, as specific coupling agents between glass surfaces and polypyrrole coatings, increases also the electric conductivity of the latter. Raman spectroscopy does not show any structural change induced by these agents, which rather act as promoters of continuity and of geometrical perfection of the coating, as demonstrated from microscopic observation and XPS analysis. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
