Title: Measurement of {bold {sigma}}{ital B}({ital W}{bold {r_arrow}}{ital e}{bold {nu}}) and {bold {sigma}}{ital B}({ital Z}{sup {bold 0}}{bold {r_arrow}}{ital e}{sup {bold +}}{ital e}{sup {bold {minus}}}) in {ital p{bar p}} collisions at {radical}{ital s}{bold =1.8} TeV

Abstract

We present a measurement of {sigma}{ital B}({ital W}{r_arrow}{ital e}{nu}) and {sigma}{ital B}({ital Z}{sup 0}{r_arrow}{ital e}{sup +}{ital e}{sup {minus}}) in proton-antiproton collisions at {radical}{ital s}=1.8 TeV using a significantly improved understanding of the integrated luminosity. The data represent an integrated luminosity of 19.7 pb{sup {minus}1} from the 1992{endash}1993 run with the Collider Detector at Fermilab. We find {sigma}{ital B}({ital W}{r_arrow}{ital e}{nu})=2.49{plus_minus}0.12 nb and {sigma}{ital B}({ital Z}{sup 0}{r_arrow}{ital e}{sup +}{ital e}{sup {minus}})=0.231{plus_minus}0.012 nb. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
