Title: Activity of gaseous reducing agents and methods of their selection for high-temperature oxidation-reduction processes

Abstract

The results of the author`s investigations of the reduction of tricalcium phosphate, and also of magnesium and potassium sulfate, confirm the theoretically established relationship in the variation of the reduction activities of hydrogen, CO, CH{sub 4} with variation of temperature. The theoretical conclusions with regard to the degree of oxidation of methane and carbon are also confirmed experimentally. 18 refs., 4 figs., 3 tabs.
