Potts Model in OneDimension on Directed SmallWorld Networks
Abstract
The critical properties of the Potts model with q=3 and 8 states in onedimension on directed smallworld networks are investigated. This disordered system is simulated by updating it with the Monte Carlo heat bath algorithm. The Potts model on these directed smallworld networks presents in fact a secondorder phase transition with a new set of critical exponents for q=3 considering a rewiring probability p=0.1. For q=8 the system exhibits only a firstorder phase transition independent of p.
