Title: Effect of Initial Mechanical Anisotropy of the Pipe Blank in Expansion by a Conical Punch

Abstract

The forces involved in the expansion of a pipe blank by means of a conical punch are analyzed by solving the approximate differential equilibrium equation, together with the corresponding fluidity condition. The influence of the initial mechanical anisotropy of the blank on the force and stress in the deformation region is established.
