Instability of a triangular Abrikosov lattice at values of the Ginzburg–Landau parameter κ close to unity
Abstract
The “soft” transverse mode of gapless excitations related to the deformation of a triangular Abrikosov lattice with a single flux quantum per unit cell at an arbitrary value of the Ginzburg–Landau parameter κ is investigated. An Abrikosov lattice with the angle φ = π/3 between the unit cell vectors is shown to be unstable in a narrow range of values, 1 < κ < 1.000634. The excitation spectrum of the mode under consideration at low values of the momentum k (in the k{sup 2} approximation) is isotropic at k lying in a plane perpendicular to the magnetic field.

Equations of the GinzburgLandauAbrikosovGor'kov theory for superconductors with a statedensity fine structure; effect of radiation on the upper critical field of Nb/sub 3/Sn
The GinzburgLandauAbrikosovGor'kov (GLAG) theory is generalized to the case in which the electron state density has an energy fine structure and the Anderson theorem is violated. The changes in the electron spectrum in a nonideal sample cause the critical field H/sub c/2 to behave quite differently as a function of the concentration in the dirty limit than predicted by the GLAG theory with a constant state density. Specifically, H/sub c/2(0) may go through a maximum as a function of the concentration, and (dH/sub c/2/dT)/sub T//sub c/ may increase more slowly than linearly.
