Yields and energy distributions of Long Range Alpha particles emitted during {sup 238,240,242,244}Pu(SF) have been measured with a {delta}E/E detector. A decrease of 40% of the LRA emission probability was observed when going from {sup 238}Pu to {sup 244}Pu, which goes along with a comparable decrease in the Standard II fission mode yield.
