Title: Generation of tunable XUV radiation by high-order frequency mixing

Abstract

The generation of short-pulse VUV and XUV radiation down to 11 nm by high-harmonic generation and frequency mixing with different pump lasers is described. As short-pulse pump sources excimer lasers, a Ti:Sapphire laser, short-pulse dye lasers, and optical parametric generators have been used. By mixing the radiation of a fixed-frequency high-power laser with a less powerful but tunable light source, tunable coherent XUV radiation down to 40 nm has been demonstrated so far.
